IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GLASSES, CARE ABOUT YOUR CASE
WE BELIEVE IN GIVING GLASSES THE PROTECTION THEY DESERVE
Finding the perfect pair of glasses is priceless. So why should you have to put them in a case that costs £2 to make, then wait for them to get damaged? Because until now there was no other option. An Ayres case is guaranteed to keep its contents safe, whatever happens around it.
SEE YOUR CASE DIFFERENTLY
We care about creating quality, sustainable products that you’ll love for a lifetime – and will last even longer. This page tells the story of how an Ayres case is made, where the materials come from, how it’s put together and why we’re confident about its lifetime guarantee.
THE MATERIALS THAT MAKE IT
We believe in quality materials and quality craftspeople. That’s why we pay more for each. Cutting corners isn’t an option if you want to create something that will last a lifetime.

7000 SERIES ALUMINIUM ALLOY
The outer case is made from aerospace-grade 7000 series aluminium – the same metal used to make the body of commercial aircraft. Lightweight, strong and resistant to corrosion, its durability is legendary and has been proven to withstand the extreme conditions of aviation.

RECYCLED RUBBER
The next generation of protective rubber layer inside each case will be expertly recycled from end-of-life car tyres by Envirolast in Southampton. Moulded to fit perfectly into our cases, it provides a snug, springy lining to help absorb any shocks.
MAKING AND CREATING
We're a British company, committed to British designers and production. Our small team of designers, engineers, testers and manufacturers all work together in the Ayres Innovation Lab in London.
TESTING THE UNBREAKABLE PROMISE
In development, we tested our cases for anything life can throw at it. Repeated pocket rubbing, handbag scrapes, floor drops. We’ve stomped on them with stilettos, run them over with a car, and even dropped them from a 4th floor window.
It’s fair to say they’ve been thoroughly tried tested and assured by our team. There’s simply no other glasses case in the world that could pass this testing.
